This book had me in such a rollercoaster of emotions throughout the book. I cried. I laughed. I smiled. And then I did it all over again. This book was truly special. I felt like I was Kayla with how Brown wrote this story. I felt every feeling throughout the entire book. I was on the edge of my seat through the whole thing. These characters were beautifully written and I cannot wait to see the rest of these characters develop through the rest of the series.

I'm speachless with this book. I felt so sorry for Kay during her journey and always putting others first. Then I felt sorry for her new friends not appearing more at the end of the story. They deserved to be there and they were amazing. Some parts almost made me cry. It was written so so well... I can't wait to see what comes next

Coming home is a beautiful story about loyalty, friendship, heartbreak, love, healing, self-sacrifice, growth and forgiveness. I enjoyed Mikes growth and healing journey through the whole book. Fantastic book! Coming home is a beautiful story about loyalty, friendship, love, growth and forgiveness. Mike and Kayla relationship sucks you in, you’re a part of it. Even how Ben’s character needs space gives the reader all the feels.

This was my first book by H K Brown but it will definitely not be my last. This story has all the emotions and made it so hard to put down, but at times I hated to continue. Kayla and Michael had such a roller coaster time that I wanted to stay at the peaks but I knew a valley was coming. It’s been a long time since I read a book that made me want to continue because I had to know how H K Brown would put it all back together, but I knew it had to happen. I am going to go back to read book one and can’t wait to read more books by H K Brown!

I think that if you want to see a perfect example of how easily an abuser can truly hide their true nature (and I am confirming this as a woman who comes from a 10-year abusive relationship) and what a true Walking Green Flag Man looks like then this is the book to read and I think all women should read.

I like Janelle’s strength and growth in the story. Like that she shows the more realistic vulnerability and healing. The way H K portrays the abusive ex in the story shows the accuracy of how manipulating they can be to others and mask their true nature.

I am absolutely in love with the Baycliff Valley series. Running Scared had me hooked from the first page until the last page. I loved Janelle and Eli. I loved that Janelle was so protective of her kids after everything they had been through. Eli was a literal green flag man walking his caring soul and patience when it came to Janelle and the kids were incredible. I love that Eli put Janelle and her kids first and that he helped the kids with surprises for Janelle.
